The challenge
M&A due diligence involves some of the most commercially sensitive documents a business will ever share. Deeligence’s founders had engaged an external development organisation to build the platform. They needed an independent, senior technical voice on their side to make sure the build met the quality, security and confidentiality standards the product demands, and to help them make the right calls without needing to be technical themselves.
What we did
- Acted as Deeligence’s independent technology adviser throughout the build.
- Reviewed architecture, code quality, testing and release practices with the development team.
- Checked security, access control and confidentiality against what M&A clients expect.
- Tracked delivery against scope, milestones and quality, and flagged risks early.
- Translated technical progress and trade-offs into plain-English advice, and pushed for the right long-term decisions.
Why it matters for founders
You don’t need us to write the code to get the best result. Non-technical founders who outsource a build need someone who can read the code, challenge the plan and tell them honestly where the project stands. That is the role we played.
