The challenge
In 2021, as the pandemic pushed women out of work faster than men, our client launched a free, government-supported, year-long virtual program for women facing barriers to work. It needed a platform to deliver coaching, courses, content, community and job opportunities nationally, while protecting the personal circumstances many participants share.
What we did
- Acted as technical lead for the program from nearly the beginning, alongside the organisation’s wider membership platform.
- Lead the technology behind the participant experience: registration of interest, applications and the member dashboard.
- Support the course library, content (articles, podcasts and video), opportunities board and member support.
- Coordinated independent penetration testing, verified the findings manually and supported remediation.
Privacy and security
Participants often share sensitive details about work history, caring responsibilities and personal circumstances. The platform collects only what the program needs, restricts access by role, and is independently tested.
Outcome
The program has grown from a pandemic response into an ongoing national program.
